"Aurora Borealis" Original Painting

First time I saw Aurora Lights was when I was a little girl. We were outside with my dad, walking back home. He said: "Look up, these are Northern Lights!" They were green and barely visible. But I remember that moment vividly.

Second time was even more magical. Because they appeared right on New Year's Eve. We were at the summer house of my parents' friends, enjoying traditional sauna, known as "banya". That means men were running outside and jumping in the snow. Very fun to watch!

On the way back we noticed Aurora Lights behind the trees. I tried to soak that moment in, thinking they would fade away in the city. But the didn't. They stayed on late into the night for hours. True New Year miracle!
