Depending on the sun, clouds, snow and reflection, Arctic may have these amazing pinkish looks. They are so heart-warming even though it’s cold! And for me they are a wonder in itself.

Notice the dark ocean too. Ocean in the Arctic seems darker than in other places. When ice melts due to climate change, it exposes this dark ocean. And while ice is bright and it reflects solar radiation, dark ocean absorbs it. That causes it to heat up, melts even more ice and exposes even more of the ocean. It's a self-reinforcing loop. Soon we’ll have snow-free Arctic summers.

Some countries count on it. Then they can explore Arctic for resources and start new shipping routes. But Arctic impacts our climate globally, each and every one of us. And it should remain intact.
